Our Strategic Investment Council (SIC) members play a vital role in the Food Agility project development process. We draw upon their array of experiences and expertise across innovation and agrifood to analyse, review and critique all projects that pass through our pipeline. Their unanimous sign-off is ultimately required for the approval of Food Agility project investments.
They are a panel that includes some of the leading minds working towards the digital future of Australian agrifood, and we are pleased to announce that we have added three new faces to our SIC for 2019.
Dr Sam Bucolo is the Design Thinker in Residence at MLA, and has over 25 years of embedding design thinking processes within organisations. During this time he has led many public, private and academic initiatives that have strongly contributed to the advancement of design led innovation in Australia.
Andrew Stead has a strong history in technology strategy and startup/early stage business development, and is currently operating as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Firemark Labs within insurer IAG, where he is responsible for creating and launching new products and businesses.
Mary Retallack is a widely renowned agricultural scientist and viticulturist. She has held a range of practical, extension and consultancy roles in the global wine sector over the past two decades, and is a Director of Wine Australia and Managing Director of Retallack Viticulture.
