Prof. Michael Eyles

Michael has performed and led research and development related to the food industry in a variety of roles, including appointments as Chief of Division and Group Executive in CSIRO and Chief Executive of Food Science Australia, a large joint venture between CSIRO and the Victorian Government. Michael has led research collaborations with a wide range of food companies, industry organisations and government agencies in Australia and overseas and has contributed to the work of government policy bodies, such as the National Food Industry Council. He has been elected to leadership positions in several professional organisations, including President of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST). Michael also has significant experience leading change management in science-based organisations and brings these perspectives to the Food Agility Board.
