Sara has a background as a scientist and a senior manager in the areas of agricultural research & development, food security, climate change and innovation. The recipient of a Bureau of Rural Sciences, science and innovation award, Victorian Women’s Board leadership scholarship holder, and a fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership foundation.
Sara advocates for diverse, next generation agricultural scientists and has a keen interest in contemporary innovation models relating to innovation and complex problem solving. Skilled in agritechnology, big data and knowledge translation, with extensive experience in developing and delivering strategy for rural industries. Sara was previously a company director for the Birchip Cropping Group and is a current director of the Foundation for Arable Research.
