Mick has worked in and around Agriculture and AgTech as a research scientist for the past 10 years, with a broad interest in precision agriculture, farming systems, remote sensing and IoT. Prior to moving to Food Agility, Mick was the Assistant Director and Science Team Leader of the Australian Plant Phenomics Centre at CSIRO in Canberra. He has a passion for applied research that has ‘real-world’ impact, connecting the dots between disparate research teams as well as business development and stakeholder engagement. As a result, Mick has built a large domestic and international network of peers and collaborators from both industry and academia.
