The Marketing & Events Coordinator plays a role in cultivating an informed and trusting audience for Food Agility and its affiliated brands, including the Digital Agrifood Summit (DAS), AgTech Finder, and Food Agility Consultancy. This individual is tasked with overseeing our digital channels and spearheading the coordination efforts for DAS.
Food Agility CRC – Accountabilities:
- Oversee the management of Food Agility and AgTech Finder online channels.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team to develop ideas, content, and messaging for all channels.
- Craft compelling and engaging digital content including videos and other assets.
- Produce regular electronic newsletters to keep stakeholders informed.
- Maintain and update the Food Agility and AgTech Finder websites as required.
Digital Agrifood Summit – Accountabilities
- Manage DAS social media account.
- Assist in designing content for DAS.
- Produce electronic newsletters and communication.
- Coordinate the registration process for DAS.
- Address attendee inquiries and manage stakeholder engagement (e.g. speakers)
Key Challenges
- Distilling complex information into clear, compelling, digital stories
- Collaborating with the team and partners to identify content opportunities.
- Independently managing channels and generating content concepts.
- Understanding the diverse interests and motivations of partners and the broader industry/research landscape.
- Managing the expectations of diverse stakeholders

What's on offer
4 days per week
Salary: $80,000 - $87,000 package (pro-rata), depending on experience
Location: Sydney CBD (2 days per week in the office)
Key Selection Criteria
- A degree in communication, marketing, or events ideal but not required
- Previous experience in a social media or events role ideal but not required
- Digital content production skills (e.g. video editing & design)
- Confident using Canva
- Excellent writing skills and verbal communication style
- Practical understanding of a variety of social media channels and related trends (including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
- Photography and videography experience an advantage
- Experience with video editing software (iMovie, Final Cut Pro or similar)
- Great organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with a range of partners
- Experience in/knowledge of agriculture and/or technology sectors an advantage
