Food Agility CRC can confirm Dr Rob Wilson AM retired from its Board of Directors at its most recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on 17 October 2025.
Food Agility Chair, Dr Anne Astin AM PSM, thanked Dr Wilson for his service to the organisation.
“Rob’s contribution to Food Agility has been significant,” noted Dr Astin. “He has been instrumental in navigating complex partner relationships and in leveraging investment from our Western Australian partners, including Curtin University and DPIRD WA.
“On behalf of the Board, I thank him for his commitment to our cause, and for his tireless efforts in leaving a lasting legacy on the agrifood sector, both at home in Western Australia, and across the country.”
Food Agility CEO, Dr Mick Schaefer, praised Dr Wilson for his seven years of service.
“As the CRC winds down, we must make changes to our Board,” said Dr Schaefer. “Rob joined the Food Agility Board in 2018, and since then has made an immense contribution.
“Without him, two of our major research projects in WA, Pig Welfare and Pork Provenance, and ESG Credentials for Australian Pork wouldn’t have had the impact they did.
“I also appreciate Rob’s desire to spend more time with his children, who have recently moved back to Perth, along with his grandkids, which no doubt will be just as – if not more – rewarding as his work with us.”
