Food Agility CRC invests in world-leading research that will change the way we produce, supply and consume food. Together with our partners, we create new data-driven technology for the agrifood industry, using AI, robotics, blockchain, sensor, advanced data analytics and more.
Our mission is to make Australia’s agrifood system more profitable, sustainable and globally competitive. Our partnership network spans the Australian agrifood and agtech industries and includes eight leading universities. We are funded by our partners and by the Australian Government through its Cooperative Research Centre Program.
Would you like to take a lead role in creating a digital future for the agrifood sector? We are seeking candidates for the position of a full-time Senior Project Manager based at our Sydney or Melbourne office.
You will be responsible for managing two major initiatives within the Food Agility project portfolio, the $6.5m Rangelands Carbon project and projects emerging from the Global Digital Farm initiative. You will plan and oversee projects within these two initiatives, coordinating partners and delivery agents to create exciting new digital tools which enhance the sustainability, productivity and profitability of Australia’s food supply chain.
You will work closely with our General Manager, Strategic Investments and Chief Scientist to help coordinate management and review of Food Agility research projects within these initiatives. You will work closely with industry partners and researchers across the consortium to provide expertise in project management.
This is a full-time position (2-year contract), preferably based in Sydney NSW, or Melbourne VIC. We are a nationally dispersed team that mostly works from home. We have an office in Sydney CBD and Melbourne CBD.
You will be someone who is self-motivated, takes pride in your work and who enjoys working within a positive, practical, outcomes focused culture. We have a world-class team, who is well grounded and is committed to the work being done at the cutting edge of innovation in the food and agricultural sector. If you are passionate about the delivery of innovative outcomes, particularly in the context of Australia’s food and agricultural sector, we would love to hear from you.
